ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team was down at halftime, but bounced back in a big way over the final two quarters to earn the top overall seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference playoffs with a 7-4 win over Susquehanna on Senior Day.
Andrew Watts led the Blue Jays with a hat trick and
Mike Scrafano tied his senior teammate with a team-high three points in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Ryan Field fed
Cody Richter 2:10 into the first quarter to give Elizabethtown (9-7, 5-1 Landmark) a 1-0 lead right away.
- Patrick Donnelly tied the game at 1-1 with under two minutes left in the opening quarter for Susquehanna (10-7, 4-2 Landmark).
- The River Hawks took a 3-1 lead into halftime thanks to a pair of goals from Jack Donnelly in the second quarter. He scored 23 seconds into the quarter and then with 1:28 left before half.
- Watts' first goal of the game came on a man up in the third quarter and seemed to get the Blue Jays rolling from there on out.
Nick Cost provided the assist, his first of two.
- Scrafano found the twine less than two minutes later to tie the game at 3-3 as the junior ripped a shot into the upper corner of the goal on a pass from
Mike DiGenova.
- The River Hawks took the lead back 26 seconds later on Brian Hewett's goal.

Ben Hiltebeitel recorded his ninth of the season with 2:16 left in the third to retie the game for a third time.
- Scrafano's second of the afternoon and 23rd of the season with under a minute to go from Cost proved to be the eventual game winner.
- E-town put up two more goals, both from Watts, in the fourth quarter to extend the lead. Scrafano and Richter had the assists.

Jeremy Klipple,
Jeff Bloom, and
Nick Sicilia each picked up four ground balls. Klipple added to his school record with three more caused turnovers, a team-high. Sicilia was 9-for-14 on faceoffs.

Tom Mahoney made seven saves in the cage for the Blue Jays.

The win clinched the top overall seed for Elizabethtown, who will host the four seed, Catholic, on Wednesday, May 1 in a Landmark Conference semifinal at Wolf Field. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
