TOWSON, Md. -- Elizabethtown College had 55 student-athletes named to the Landmark Conference's Winter Academic Honor Roll. The league announced its honor roll list at the beginning of March with 367 student-athletes between the each of the conference's institutions receiving recognition.

Elizabethtown had representation in each of the six winter sports sponsored by the Landmark: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, and men's and women's indoor track & field.

Over half of E-town's 55 selections are repeat honorees with eight having been recognized all three years they were eligible.

The Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher through the fall.

The conference also released its All-Sportsmanship Teams. For basketball, Hugh McLaughlin III and Marissa Emlet received the honors for the men's and women's teams at Elizabethtown. Brian Sylvestri and Cate Falkenstein got the nods for men's and women's swimming. Tyler Stephenson and Colleen Kernan received the honors for the men's and women's indoor track & field teams.

The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes selected demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They are ambassadors for the team, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
