Shatto, Tietze-Di Toro, Miller Earn All-Conference Honors

TOWSON, Md. – Senior Elle Shatto, junior Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro and freshman Bryanna Miller each earned Landmark All-Conference honors, announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

In what is the most selections to an All-Conference team for the program since 2013, Shatto and Miller were named second team outside hitters while Tietze-Di Toro was a second team libero/defensive specialist selection. It is the first All-Conference accolades for each of them.

Shatto finished the 2019 season with career-highs in kills (370), assists (25), serving aces (59), digs (331) and total blocks (31). She was second in the Landmark in total serving aces and fourth in total kills. Shatto earned All-Tournament Team honors at both the Battlefield Classic and the Misericordia Tournament. She became the eight player in program history to register 1,000 kills and finishes her career seventh all-time with 1,096 kills.

Tietze-Di Toro led all Landmark Conference players with 588 digs and 4.82 digs per set. She is currently in the top-50 in Division III in total digs (43rd) while her 588 digs are second most in a single season in program history. She was named to the All-Tournament team at the Lycoming Invitational and the Misericordia Tournament. Through her junior year, she is seventh in program history with 1,432 career digs.

Miller burst on to the scene in her first collegiate season, finishing second in the conference with a 3.51 kills per set ratio and with 407 kills. She was named Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week this season, while earning All-Tournament honors at the Misericordia Tournament and the Blue Jay Classic. Her 407 kills ended the season third in the conference. 

The Blue Jays ended the 2019 season with a 25-10 record for the most victories since 2007. The team made its first appearance in a conference tournament since 2013.
