ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team won its second Landmark Conference match of the season, topping Catholic, 3-0, Wednesday night.

With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 21-7 overall and 2-1 in league play. The Cardinals fall to 14-12 on the season and 0-2 in the conference.
Senior
Elle Shatto recorded a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs, while freshman
Bryanna Miller also finished with a double-double, tallying 10 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore
Rileigh Hudock and freshman
Sarah Hanks each finished with 13 assists while junior
Aiyana Tietze-Di Toro had a team-high 21 digs.
ELIZABETHTOWN 3, CATHOLIC 0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21)
- SET ONE: Elizabethtown hustled out a four point lead after a kill from freshman Courtney Westman made the score 10-6. Catholic responded, tying the match at 13 after a kill from freshman Josephine Morrill. The two teams continued to battle, tying the score at 17 and 19 before the Blue Jays went on a 4-0 run to pull ahead, as Elizabethtown went on to take the first set, 25-23.
- SET TWO: The Blue Jays once again ran out to a big lead, as Shatto rifled home an ace for the 12-6 advantage. Elizabethtown continued to roll, moving ahead by 11 (20-9) after an ace from Miller. Catholic responded, charging back into the set with a 10-3 run, making the score 22-19. The Blue Jays, however, held off the Cardinals, grabbing a 2-0 lead with 25-20 win.
- SET THREE: Sticking to the theme of the match, Elizabethtown built up a big lead after back-to-back-to-back kills from Shatto, sophomore Allison Fischer and Shatto made the score 14-5. The Blue Jays continued to hold a large advantage, as Miller fired home a kill, pushing Elizabethtown's lead to 20-12. Holding match point (24-15), Catholic once again responded, cutting the Blue Jays lead to three (24-21) after a block by junior Maria Gonzalez, but Elizabethtown closed things out after a kill by Shatto sent the fans home happy with a straight set victory.
