ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Derek Manning and Anthony Knight added to their postseason awards collection, Monday, when D3baseball.com announced its 2018 All-Region Teams. Manning, the Landmark Conference Player of the Year, was named an All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team Outfielder, and Knight was selected as the Second Team Catcher.

This marks the fourth year in a row that Elizabethtown College has been represented on D3baseball.com's All-Mid-Atlantic Region Teams and second time in the last three years the Blue Jays have had multiple players selected.
Manning led the Landmark Conference with a .457 batting average, while also finishing atop the league in hits (69), doubles (22), on base percentage (.506) and slugging percentage (.675).

The native of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania currently sits fourth in the nation with 0.56 doubles per game and is fifth in total doubles after breaking the program's single-season record. Manning is also among DIII's best in batting average (11th) and hits (25th). The junior outfielder (sophomore eligible) led all Elizabethtown players with 25 multi-hit games and moved into the top 10 on the Blue Jays' single-season standout season hits (third) and batting average (fifth) lists.

Manning paced the Blue Jays in multiple offensive categories, including: batting average, hits, runs, doubles, RBIs (35), total bases, slugging percentage and on base percentage. On defense, he recorded a .973 fielding percentage with 71 putouts and an assist.

Knight, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, enjoyed a career year with new offensive benchmarks across the board. He hit .352 (43-for-122) with 10 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 14 RBIs, 14 stolen bases and 39 runs scored.

Knight ranked third in the Landmark in walks (27), fifth in runs, fifth in stolen bases and fifth in on base percentage (.470). He also threw out 11 would-be base stealers on 32 attempts from behind the dish, third most in the league.
