ORLANDO -- Clark (Mass.) withstood Elizabethtown's push in singles play to capture a 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus.

E-town trailed 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles, with the third pairing of Michael Ryzuk and Alec Schneider accounting for the Jays' lone point.

Ryzuk and Schneider dominated their match with the Cougars' Josh Podolsky and Philip Conde, cruising to an 8-1 win and giving both players their first career doubles wins.

The two teams traded wins in the early stages of singles. Clark's (1-4) Jose Dalla-Valle won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, but Schneider answered for the Blue Jays (1-4) with his first career singles victory, 6-1, 6-1, over Conde at No. 6.

When sophomore Tristan Boheim finished off Duncan Drapeau 7-5, 6-1 at No. 4, Elizabethtown was within 4-3 and still had an opportunity to collect its first win of the spring.

Clark clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win from No. 2 Jack Han. Podolsky won fifth singles to provide the final 6-3 margin for the Cougars.

Elizabethtown won't return to action until Saturday, March 24, at Moravian, when it opens Landmark Conference play.
