Tuesday baseball postponed, weekend series at Drew pushed to May

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Tuesday's Elizabethtown College baseball home opener against Penn State Harrisburg has been postponed and this weekend's Landmark Conference series at Drew is being moved to May.

Overnight snow late Monday into Tuesday made Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium's field unplayable for Tuesday's non-conference game against the Lions. E-town and Penn State Harrisburg, whose campuses are just 10 miles apart, will attempt to make up the game later this season, but have not finalized a new date.

In another schedule move, Elizabethtown and Drew are moving their conference series to the first weekend in May. The teams were originally to play this coming Saturday and Sunday in Madison, N.J., but Drew's field is not expected to be ready in time after multiple snowstorms hit the area in the past week. Instead, the teams will slot the series into the Landmark's open weekend on Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6.
