Blue Jays drop dual at Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- Millersville handed the visiting Elizabethtown College men's tennis team a 9-0 setback in its dual opener Sunday afternoon.

The Marauders (1-0) cruised in two of three doubles matches and won all six singles flights in straight sets.

Elizabethtown's best showing in doubles came from Ryan Caris and Tristan Boheim at No. 2, where they were able to steal five points off Ben Fellman and Christian Akerley. Millersville only dropped one game across the two remaining doubles matches, winning No. 1, 8-1, and sweeping No. 3, 9-0.

Millersville had its way against the Blue Jays (0-1) in singles allowing E-town to win only seven games in 12 sets across all six flights. Boheim, Julian LeMaire and Michael Ryzuk each won a pair of games in their respective matches.

Elizabethtown will have a shot to reverse its fortunes next Sunday at 1 p.m. at Penn State Harrisburg.
