ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Wednesday night's non-conference result for the Elizabethtown College women's soccer team was a 180 from what happened to the Blue Jays four days ago at Susquehanna when E-town scored late to beat the River Hawks. This time around, it was a late game-winner for Penn State Berks that lifted them past the Blue Jays, 1-0.

Hailey Parks made five first-half saves for Elizabethtown (5-10), but none of the chances for Penn State Berks (14-3-1) really tested the junior goalie. On the other end, Paige Elmy wasn't troubled much at all.

Kaylee Frapaul took Elmy's place in the second half and had to stop Lindsay Hoagland's left-footed scoring opportunity in the 53rd minute. Shannon Conlon had a header on goal a few minutes later, but Frapaul was there for the save.

Lydia Lawson found herself on the end of a good bounce inside the box and had E-town's best chance at goal on the night. Her turnaround first-time shot rose just over the crossbar.

Nicole Brigante played Lions' speedy forward Lizzie Mummau through with a pass up the middle. Mummau was able to outrace her defender, took a few touches into the box and beat Parks lower left for her 15th of the year.

The Jays pressured late with two corner kicks, but Katrina Morales' shot was blocked and time ran out on Elizabethtown.

The women's soccer team will host Juniata for Senior Day on Saturday, October 29 at 1 p.m., needing a win and some help to get into the Landmark Conference tournament.
