YORK, Pa. — The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team utilized a goal in each half from midfielders Kaceyanne Cerankowski and Maddie Burkhardt to fuel the Blue Jays' 2-0 blanking of York (Pa.) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Elizabethtown's (5-4-1) third shot of the game produced the game's first goal. Alex Jacobs registered her first career assist, slotting a ball to Cerankowski, who deposited the ball into the net, her team-leading fifth of the season.

Cerankowski was behind the Jays' goal in the second half. The senior winger approached the York (Pa.) (3-5) goal from the left side. Her entry pass into the box met the boot of a defender, and the deflection nearly went in. The ball careened off the post, where Burkhardt was in the right spot at the right time to collect her first goal of the year.

Dana Robidoux made three saves to get her second shutout of the season. She stoned Jamie Sokolis in the 30th minute with E-town up 1-0. Robidoux kept out another Sokolis chance in the 47th minute, moments before the Blue Jays made it 2-0.

The women's soccer team will travel to Goucher on Saturday, October 3 for a Landmark Conference matchup at 1 p.m.
