Elizabethtown (7-13) turned the tables in game two, going ahead 1-0 in the first. Like in game one, Becher led off with a base hit, her first of three in the game. Kirstin Blass laid down the sac bunt to move her up to second, then Payton Marunich singled her down to third. Jess White picked up her team-leading 12th RBI with a base knock through the left side, scoring Becher.

Keli Krause got Amanda Jones to foul out to Marunich with runners on second and third to end Messiah's scoring threat in the bottom half of the first and then led off the second with a double to left. She scored two batters later when Maeve McGill picked up her second RBI of the year. McGill scored two batters later on a Messiah error.

The early runs proved not to be enough, though. The Falcons held the Jays scoreless over the final five innings while scoring a run in the second, third, and fifth innings to send it into the seventh tied 3-3.

McGill drew a one-out walk and Becher collected her third hit of the game with a single and advanced to second on the throw. Elizabethtown had runners in scoring position, but could not bring either home as Messiah got out of the jam.

The Falcons didn't wait for extra innings to come away with a win as Becky Notte homered two batters into the seventh for the walkoff victory.

Becher (three), Marunich, White, Krause, and McGill all registered hits in game two for E-town.

The softball team returns to The Nest on Sunday, April 12 for a Landmark Conference doubleheader with Scranton beginning at 1 p.m.
