READING, Pa. – An own goal gave Elizabethtown College a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Alvernia University in a Commonwealth Conference women's soccer matchup on Monday afternoon.

A clearing attempt by the Crusaders (2-9-0 overall, 0-1-0 Commonwealth) was headed into their own net at 103:47, giving the Blue Jays (3-5-0 overall, 1-0-0 Commonwealth) the victory.

Elizabethtown dominated play in the contest, finishing with a 24-4 advantage in shots and a 13-2 edge in corner kicks over Alvernia. The Crusaders played the final seven minutes of regulation and all 14 minutes of overtime with 10 players down following a red card late in the second half.

Jess Manchak recorded her second shutout of the season by making one save in goal for the Blue Jays, while Kirsten Kelley finished with nine saves for the Crusaders.
