OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stephanie Eyler scored her second goal of the match midway through the first overtime period as Stevenson University defeated Elizabethtown College 2-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match on Saturday afternoon.
Eyler dribbled down the right side and scored to the far post with 3:33 left in the first extra period to give the Mustangs (5-3-1 overall) the victory over the Blue Jays (2-5-0 overall).
Eyler gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead at 4:59 with her fourth goal of the season off a pass by Katie Decker, and Stevenson held the lead until
Kelly Fisher knotted the score at 1-1 with 25:43 to play in the contest.
Elizabethtown controlled the play for much of the contest, finishing with an 18-8 advantage in shots over Stevenson and a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
Kristen Kelly finished with four saves in goal for the Blue Jays, while Lauren Weitzman tallied six stops for the Mustangs.
