SCRANTON, Pa. – A goal by Chelsea Paskman two minutes into the second half was the difference as the University of Scranton edged Elizabethtown College 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday night at Fitzpatrick Field.

Paskman's blast from 22 yards out at 46:57 was set up by Caroline Corasaniti and gave the Royals (9-2-1 overall) the win over the Blue Jays (5-6 overall) in a contest played in cold, drizzly and windy conditions.

The Blue Jays finished with an 8-7 edge in shots over the Royals, though each team was able to only put two shots apiece on net. Scranton took six corner kicks compared to two for Elizabethtown.

Kristen Kelly made one save in goal for Elizabethtown, while Caitlin Byrne earned the shutout for Scranton after making a pair of saves.
