Matt Hamilton enters his fourth season as the Head Men's and Women's Volleyball coach in 2022-23. Hamilton is the 11th coach in women's volleyball history and the second for the men's volleyball program.

In his most recent season, Hamilton guided the women to their third consecutive 20-win season (23) and the third seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament.

In the 2021 season, Hamilton guided the Blue Jays to their second consecutive 20-win season (21) and the two seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. It was the first time in program history that the program hosted a Landmark Conference postseason match.

After serving as an assistant coach for two seasons under Alex Hinsey, Hamilton made the most of his first season at the helm of the women's volleyball team, leading the Blue Jays to their most wins (25) since 2007. Etown also clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2013 under Hamilton, meeting No. 22 Juniata in the Landmark Semifinals.

On the men's side, Hamilton also saw immediate success, guiding the Blue Jays to its first winning season in program history at 14-9 before COVID-19 cut the season short.

During the 2021 season, Hamilton guided the men's program to its biggest win to date, taking down No. 8 Juniata, 3-2. This was the program's first win over Juniata and a nationally ranked opponent.

Hamilton joined the women's volleyball staff in 2017 as an assistant, helping the team to a 19-9 record in 2017 after a 7-22 finish the previous season. The Blue Jays followed up with a second consecutive 19-win season in 2018.

Hamilton, a 2013 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, was integral in helping start the men's program at Elizabethtown. Picked ninth in the Continental Volleyball Conference's preseason poll, the Jays went 11-18 and 4-7 in the CVC to finish in a tie for seventh.

In his three seasons with the women's team and two with the men, Hamilton has coached eight all-conference selections and saw Mackenzie Garner earn Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete in 2019. The women's team has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award three times while the men's team has earned it once during Hamilton's tenure.

Additionally, Hamilton serves as a Player Development Specialist at Spooky Nook Volleyball Academy where he oversees the development of over 130 athletes across 13 different club teams.

Hamilton has also coached at the high school and club levels. He played volleyball at Central York High School and was a member of the 2008 PIAA state runners-up. Hamilton was a 2008 PIAA All-State selection.

He holds a USAV Impact Certification and memberships to the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association), USAV (USA Volleyball), and KRVA (Keystone Region Volleyball Association).
