Sophomore wrestler Jesse Meaney got his season off to a quick start, pinning all three of his opponents in a minute or less as the 12th-ranked Blue Jays went 2-1 in dual matches last week.

Meaney, a national qualifier at 141 pounds in 2012-13, moved up to 149 this year and the early results are favorable. He pinned Gettysburg's Brandon Carcuffe in 1:00 Thursday as E-town won its opener 37-12 on the road. Saturday in the NY/PA Duals at King's (Pa.), Meaney needed less than a minute to pin No. 19 NYU's DJ Albonico (0:18) and Hunter's Thomas Gerle (0:39).

Meaney has a 20-7 career record with 10 falls in just over a season of competition.
