Junior swimmer Becki Lane defeated defending Middle Atlantic Conference Champion Tara Nuzzo in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle races Saturday afternoon to help the Blue Jays win their first meet of the season, 123-76, over Arcadia.

In the 50 free, Lane touched in at 25.54 to defeat Nuzzo by .17. Three events later, Lane came up with another huge performance by swimming a 55.13 in the 100 free to defeat Nuzzo by .45 seconds. Nuzzo came into Saturday's meet having swept the sprint free races in her first two meets.
