Senior Luis Devia of the Elizabethtown men's soccer team is the first Etownbluejays.com Men's Player of the Week following two goals in two games this past weekend.

In Friday's season opener at No. 10 Scranton, Devia's goal in the 76th minute gave E-town a 2-1 lead on the Royals. Though the Blue Jays ended up with a draw after 110 minutes of play, they had a chance to get right back on the field Saturday at King's (Pa.).

Devia, a Hellertown native and Saucon Valley grad, didn't even need a half to etch his name in the scoresheet again. He came on as a reserve in the 17th minute and scored less than 10 minutes later off a rebound of his original shot against Monarch keeper Mark Labbadia.

On Tuesday, Devia was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
