Paul Whitman won all eight matches he took part in, as the men's tennis team got off to its best start since 2000 with a 4-0 week in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Whitman played the entire week out of the No. 3 singles position and was victorious in straight sets against opponents from Roanoke, Malone (Ohio), Eastern Nazarene and St. John Fisher.

A senior from Pine Brook, N.J., Whitman teamed up with Billy Freitag to win four matches at second doubles, all by an 8-3 count.
