Sophomore Tyler Weary got his 2013 season off to a strong start by hitting .444 over two games Sunday against defending Freedom Conference Champion and NCAA Tournament qualifier Misericordia.

Weary went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two runs batted in, as the Jays fell 9-6 in game one. In game two, the sophomore collected another two hits in four at bats while driving in two more runs.

Down 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Weary drove a pitch over the left field wall for his first career home run. It was his second extra base hit of the day, as he also doubled in game one.
