Senior Tyler Simpkiss came within three points of his career-high when he dropped 27 on Merchant Marine in an 83-61 victory Saturday.

Simpkiss hit 9-of-12 shots and was 4-of-5 from 3-point range in setting new season-highs in points, field goals made and 3-pointers made. The offensive outburst boosted his scoring average to 11.8 points per game, the highest it has been this season.
