Sophomore Keli Krause threw Elizabethtown softball's first no-hitter in more than a decade Sunday during a 5-0 win at Juniata.

Krause started game two for the Blue Jays and led them to the sweep by facing just four batters over the minimum possible. She struck out seven and walked three to etch her name into the E-town record book.

Krause, from Schwenksville, became the first Blue Jay to throw a solo no-hitter since Pam Pike fired six hitless innings in a 5-0 win over Alvernia March 14, 2002.

Pike was also involved in the team's last no-hitter prior to Sunday, which came later that season on April 13 against Albright. Pike and Michelle Morris combined on the no-no in a 3-2 win.

Krause, who also pitched game one against Catholic Saturday and made a relief appearance against Lebanon Valley last Thursday, saw her earned run average drop to 2.18 over the past week. She also added to the Jays' offense going 6-for-12 at the plate including a 3-for-4 performance in game one at Juniata with an RBI. She raised her season batting average to .261.
