Elizabethtown College Athletics

Lamar Fahnestock enters his second season as the Men's Volleyball Coach for Elizabethtown in 2024.

Fahnestock brings more than 20 years of experience to Etown. He most recently served as the head Boys Volleyball Coach at Elizabethtown Area High School since 2019.

Before his time as the head Boys Volleyball Coach at EAHS, Fahnestock was the head Junior High Girls Volleyball Coach at GEARS-Elizabethtown in 2015. In 2010, Fahnestock was the head Girls Volleyball Coach for 18s at Extreme Volleyball Club of Hershey.

Prior to acting as a club coach, he served as the head Boys Volleyball Coach from 2001-06 and the head Girls Volleyball Coach from 2001-02 at Elizabethtown Area High School. In 2005, Fahnestock was named Coach of the Year for the Lancaster-Lebanon League as the head boys volleyball coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has also led the high school volleyball teams to multiple playoff appearances.

Fahnestock began his coaching career at Elizabethtown College as the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach from 1995-98.

Fahnestock also has experience as a volleyball tournament director along with being a volleyball referee.
