- Competed in four years of soccer and track & field at Shippensburg High School.
- Played one year of basketball, as a junior.
- Qualified all four years for Mid Penns in track, team was Mid Penn Colonial Division champions as a senior.
- Central midfielder under coach Mary Miller.
- Second Team as a junior, First Team as a senior.
- Member of Art Honor Society, Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, environmental club, chess club, High Honor Roll, and worked at the local fair for the soccer team and Corn Festival for church.
- Valedictorian of her graduating class.

- Daughter of Mickey and Phyllis Nye.
- Second oldest of four girls.
- Oldest sister, Rachel, competes in swimming and track and field at Washington & Jefferson.
- Also a member of the women's soccer program at Elizabethtown.
