Robert Carmo

Entering his 5th season with the Blue Jays, Robert "Rob" Carmo has played a pivotal role in the success of the Elizabethtown track and field programs. Now serving as Head Coach after being elevated to an associate title in 2024, Carmo continues to work directly with the sprints, hurdles, and jump squads, helping student-athletes refine their technical skills and rewrite the program's history books. 

The 2024-25 indoor campaign was a historic season for Carmo’s hurdles and long sprints group, highlighted by Adam Carmo breaking the 20-year-old school record in the 60m hurdles (8.51) and Trevor Albright clocking the second-fastest 400m time in program history (49.63). 

For Carmo, coaching is more than just the performances; it’s also about helping student-athletes maximize their potential and confidence. He also enjoys the unique opportunity of coaching his two sons, Adam and Eric, as they compete for the Blue Jays.
