Chris Ackerman joined the Elizabethtown women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in 2010. He completed his sixth season with the Blue Jays in 2015.
During Ackerman's time at the College, the Blue Jays have experienced five consecutive winning seasons and qualified for the postseason in each of the last four.
Elizabethtown's win totals increased with Ackerman on staff from 2010-14, topping out with a 13-4-0 mark in 2014. The Blue Jays won 12 times (12-8-0) in 2013 to capture an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament, their first appearance since 2007.
In his first season on E-town's sideline, Ackerman helped the Jays to a winning season, as they fell just short of a Commonwealth Conference Tournament berth.
Ackerman is involved with multiple facets of the program, including recruiting.
He has dedicated almost two decades to coaching soccer in Pennsylvania from the youth to collegiate levels, and will begin his 17th year of coaching in 2015. His 2009 club team achieved a No. 1 national ranking.
In addition to his coaching experience, Ackerman has served as an instructor and coach at numerous camps and clinics. He's also been featured as a guest coach at various team practices.
Ackerman currently holds both his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and NSCAA State goalkeeping diploma.
Chris and his wife Courtney reside in Mountville, Pa., with their children Schyler, Logan and Camryn.
