Doug Duriez is in his first season in 2024 as an assistant coach with the softball program.
Duriez was an assistant at the University of Valley Forge, a member of CSAC, from 2019 to 2023.
Prior to his time at Valley Forge, Duriez spent time as an assistant at the high school level with Twin Valley High School from 2007 to 2015 and then on to Great Valley High School from 2016 to 2019.
At Twin Valley, the softball team won 1 Berks County Championship and were six-time PIAA District 3 AAA participants and qualified for states four times.
In his time at Great Valley, they were two-time Ches-Mont Division champions, three-time PIAA District 1 6A participants and made one PIAA state championship appearance.
Duriez also has plenty of travel softball experience, beginning with the Brandywine Valley Girls Softball in 2000. He served as an assistant for the Coventry Cobras (2007-09) and Paoli Express (2014). Duriez was the head coach for the Lionville Lightning in 2010, Chester County Stars (2011-13), and Brandywine Valley Impact in 2015. BVI took 4th place at the USSSA Eastern Nationals.
