HIGH SCHOOL
- Played four different sports for Hancock Senior High School, four years of football and indoor/outdoor track, with one year of baseball (freshman)
- Second Team All-County indoor and outdoor track his freshman year
- Moved up to First Team All-County for both track seasons the following year and was named Team MVP in both sports
- All-conference football player and sprinter as a junior, along with Team MVP honors for indoor and outdoor a second consecutive year
- As a senior, was Second Team All-County (football) and First Team All-County (indoor/outdoor track)
- Placed second at the Maryland state championships in the 100m and 200m
- Football, indoor, and outdoor track MVP
- National Honor Society member
