Jess Lane begins her third season as the aquatics director and head coach for the men's and women's swimming programs in 2025-26

In her second season, Lane coached three men and four women Landmark All-Conference selections along with five College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees. Junior, Leif Hoffman earned second team All-Conference honors (200 back) and also earned honorable mention (100 back). Senior, Gracie Harding earned first (50 free) and second (100 free) team All-Conference honors along with Hailey Poulos who earned honorable mention (400 IM). In Lane's first two seasons she led the men's team to a fourth place finish and the women's team to a fifth place finish at the Landmark Conference Championships. During the season the women broke three team records. 

In her first season at the helm of the men's and women's program, Lane coached six College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Student-Athletes along with four Landmark All-Conference nods led by senior, Sarah Marston. During the 2023-24 season, the Blue Jays broke a combined six program records. 

Lane served for four seasons as the assistant coach of the Elizabethtown College men's and women's swimming programs, joining the staff in 2019.

Prior to serving as the assistant coach, Lane spent the past seven years (2013-19) as the head coach of Lower Paxton Aquatic Club in Harrisburg, Pa. Since 2008, in the summer months, she coaches at Mountain View Swim Team in Harrisburg, Pa.

While working towards her Master's of Arts in Advance Studies in Secondary Educations at California University of Pennsylvania (now Penn West California), Lane coached the high school and USA Club team at Peters Township in McMurray, Pa. from 2011-12.

Lane competed collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania from 2005-09 in distance freestyle, 400 IM, and 200 butterfly events. 

She graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in History and Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Educations in 2010. and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education in 2012 from California University of Pennsylvania. 

A native of Annville, Pa., Lane currently resides in Hershey, Pa. Outside of coaching, she is a volunteer on local youth swim boards and is a volunteer regional chair in Pennsylvania for Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.
