Eric Carr, a four-year starter for the Elizabethtown men's soccer team, has been added to Skip Roderick's staff as a goalkeeper coach for 2013.
Carr finished his Blue Jay career with 30 wins, making him the eighth winningest keeper in program history. The Phoenixville native ranks second in team history with more than 4,800 minutes played.
Twelve of Carr's 17 career shutouts came during his sophomore and junior seasons when he registered six clean sheets in each campaign. Unsurprisingly, he was voted to all-conference teams both seasons.
Carr was an All-Commonwealth Conference First Team and NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team choice at keeper in 2010. He took a spot on the Second Team in 2011 and was an Honorable Mention pick in 2012.
In back-to-back weeks during his sophomore season, the agile Carr was named Commonwealth Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. He earned his third career weekly award from the conference on Oct. 22, 2012.
For his career, Carr had a 1.04 goals against average, 187 saves and .770 save percentage in 58 games.
Carr graduated with a degree in international business. His younger sister, Rachel, is a sophomore on the women's cross country and track & field teams at Elizabethtown College.
