    Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Elizabethtown College head men's lacrosse coach Chris Perzinski announced in December that Pat Conroy would join his inaugural staff as an assistant coach for the 2017 season.

Conroy's expertise resides on the defensive side of the ball, having spent three seasons as a long stick midfielder and one as a short stick defensive mid for Towson University. Perzinski was quick to note his excitement for the immediate impact Conroy will have with his team. "Pat had an outstanding playing career at Towson and was an intricate part of three Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championships and three NCAA tournament appearances. He knows what it takes to be a champion and embodies all the characteristics that will make up the future of Elizabethtown College lacrosse."

The York, Pennsylvania, native made an instant impact with the Tigers as a freshman in 2013. Conroy played in 12 games, missing six due to illness, but still managed to earn a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team, which spoke to his play while on the field. He made the switch to short stick defensive mid his sophomore season before going back to long stick mid his final two years.

As a junior, Conroy grabbed 38 ground balls and forced ten turnovers in 18 games. The Dallastown High School grad played in all 19 of the Tigers' games as a senior, anchoring the best scoring defense in the country at 7.26 goals allowed per game. Towson also ranked 13th in the nation in clearing percentage.

At Dallastown, Conroy was a four-time all-county and all-district honoree and selected all-state by ESPN. Conroy was also named All-America and was the 17th-ranked long stick midfielder coming out of high school.

"Pat will begin on the defensive end working with our athletes' individual development, as well as taking over faceoff and wing play units," Perzinski said. "He will also be counted on in recruiting target areas of central PA, Baltimore, and Washington D.C."
