- Two-sport athlete in field hockey and tennis at North East High School
- Played FH under former Etown standout Kendra Hudson '15
- Named Field Hockey Honorable Mention in 2017 as a sophomore
- Earned All-County status the following year
- Team went 11-2 her senior season, earned Varsity MVP and another all-county selection
- Recipient of the Magdeburger Award, which recognizes a female athlete who exemplifies sportsmanship, leadership, and a sense of fair play
- Honor Roll student each marking period
- National Honor Society Vice President

- Daughter of David Edwards and Colleen McCandless, step-father Sean McCandless
- Has three siblings
- Will study English education with a coaching minor
