Biography
2014-15 (Sophomore): Improved times in the 200-, 500-, 1000- and 1650-yard freestyle from freshman to sophomore season and swam the 50 and 100 free in competition for the first time...Biggest jump came in the 1650 free, where her season best of 21:15.79 at the Landmark Conference Championships Feb. 15, was more than 30 seconds faster than her best time as a rookie...Registered her first race win as a collegiate swimmer on Nov. 15, when she captured the 1000 free at FDU-Florham...Competed in the 500 and 1000 free at the Landmark Championships...Named to the Landmark Winter Academic Honor Roll.
2013-14 (Freshman): Primarily competed in distance freestyle events during her rookie season...Ranked fifth on the team in the 500-yard free with a 6:11.55, set against FDU-Florham Nov. 16...Swam a season-best 12:40.13 in the 1000 free at Lycoming Nov. 9.
High School: Mentored by coaches Bill Sterner, Michelle Good and Ray Evelan at South Western, where she earned two varsity letters with the swimming team...Received female sportsmanship and All-American awards as a senior...Top times in HS were: :29 (50 free), 1:04 (100 free), 2:16 (200 free) and 6:16 (500 free)...Involved in Key Club, as well as the school's choir and band...Assisted the athletic trainer...Took a missions trip to Belize with her church...Volunteered with church's summer kids camp and at the community homeless shelter...Distinguished honor roll student throughout high school.
Personal: Daughter of Drew and Becky Derreth...Has a brother, Tyler, who swam for Dickinson...Business administration major.
