Biography
2013-14 (Junior): Elizabethtown's quickest distance free swimmer for the third straight season...Recorded team's top times in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.53), 1000 free (10:53.08) and 1650 free (17:54.40)...Also paced the team with a 2:11.74 in the 200 individual medley, and was second fastest in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:06.26...Earned the Blue Jays five points with a 12th-place swim in the 1650 free at the MAC Championships...Swam in seven events at the MAC Championships: 500 free, 1650 free, 100 breast, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay and 200 medley relay...Ranked 13th in the conference in the 1000 free during the regular season with a 10:53.08 at King's (Pa.) Feb. 1...Claimed the MAC's 21st fastest time overall in the 500 free, swimming a season-best 5:05.53 at the conference championship meet...Won 12 events during the regular season, including the 1000 free six times...Victorious in the 1000 free four times during a five-dual stretch from Nov. 16-Jan. 18...Picked up three wins (1000 free, 200 IM, 500 free) at Drew Nov. 22...Also took a trio of first-place finishes in the same events against Lebanon Valley Nov. 26.
2012-13 (Sophomore): Set fast times in five events: 500-yard freestyle, 1000 free, 1650 free, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley for the Blue Jays...Also claimed five career-best times...Recorded the 10th quickest time in the MAC in the 1000 free with a 10:45.20 Jan. 12 against McDaniel...Won an event in eight straight regular season meets to start the season and 11-of-12 overall...Won three events in a dual meet five times...Best event was the 1000 free, which he was victorious in seven times...Six-time winner in the 200 IM and 500 free...Trimmed career-best time in the 200 IM by almost nine seconds (2:09.32) against York (Pa.) Dec. 8...Improved by eight seconds in the 500 free (5:05.44) from freshman to sophomore seasons...Also set new fast times in the 100 free, 1000 free and 1650 free...Named Middle Atlantic Conference Swimmer of the Week Nov. 26 after sweeping the 400- and 800-meter freestyle and winning the 200-meter IM at Lebanon Valley.
2011-12 (Freshman): Emerged as team's best distance swimmer during his rookie season, setting top times in the 500-yard freestyle, 1000 free and 1650 free...Owned the ninth fastest 1000 free time in the conference with a 10:49.60, set Jan. 25 at McDaniel...Finished 10th in the 1650 free at the MAC Championships in 18:01.83...Ranked second on the team in the 200 free (1:55.84), 100 butterfly (59.18), 200 fly (2:35.92) and 200 individual medley (2:18.13)...All-MAC Second Team recipient as part of the 200 free, 400 medley and 400 free relay teams...Won back-to-back 1000 free races in his home pool against FDU-Florham (Nov. 19) and Lebanon Valley (Nov. 22)...Three-time winner in the 500 free and 1000 free...Swept distance free events against Lebanon Valley Nov. 22, and at King's (Pa.) Nov. 28.
High School: Competed on the swimming and crew teams at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, Mass...Catholic Conference All-Star in swimming as a junior...Received school's Pioneer Award as a senior...Finished 23rd in 500 free at the state championships in 2010...Coaches Award winner in 2009 and 2010...Team was ranked No. 1 in Central Massachusetts during his senior year...Coaches were Dana Hodges (swimming) and Tony Genna (crew)...Earned three varsity letters.
