ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Lebanon Valley got the better of the Elizabethtown College men's soccer team Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Herbert Field. The Dutchmen beat the Blue Jays a final score of 4-1.
Elizabethtown was on the defensive in the first half as Lebanon Valley outshot the Blue Jays, 13-3. The Dutchmen scored in the 27th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
LVC came right out of the break to put another on the board two and a half minutes into the second half.
Lebanon Valley added two more goals later in the second as the lead blossomed to 4-0.
Evan Berlinski got one back and broke up the shutout bid in the 90th minute.
Connor Holland assisted on the goal as the Dutchmen went on to beat Etown, 4-1.
Logan Sumner made nine saves in the game for EC.
The Jays jump back into conference play at Susquehanna on Saturday, October 3, at 1 p.m.
