INDIANAPOLIS -- The Elizabethtown College women's track & field team will once again be represented at the NCAA Track & Field Championships. Sophomore
Isabella Cowger qualified in the women's discus for the Blue Jays.
Cowger was a constant force atop the discus results all outdoor season, having set the school and conference record numerous times. She won the event seven times, including the Landmark Outdoor title two weekends ago at Juniata.
Cowger was recently the runner-up in the discus at the AARTFC Outdoor Championshps held at Ursinus College this past Wednesday and Thursday.
The West Virginia native qualifies for the first time at the national level and is seeded sixth at 49.05m (160'11"). She is just one of six throwers to reach over 160' in the event this season.
Cowger contests the discus on Thursday, May 21, at 5:30pm ET. The finals for the event will be held immediately following the prelims.
