COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's track & field team scored 18 points at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College to place 17th out of 48 schools. Derek Kendig and Will Inglis were the place finishers for the Blue Jays.

Kendig became the program's first individual champion at the outdoor version of the AARTFC meet. In Wednesday night's 10,000-meter run under the lights, the junior ran largely by himself as he got out ahead of the field and cruised to the win in 31:41.16.

Thursday afternoon, Inglis powered down the home stretch on the final lap of the 800 meters in the fast section to take second overall in 1:53.27.
