Women's track & field first, men's team second at Blue Jay Tune-Up

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College track & field teams hosted the Miller Sports Construction Blue Jay Tune-Up across this past Friday and Saturday at the outdoor track & field facility. The women's team placed first and the men's team was second at the two-day meet. The Blue Jays also had a few relays compete on Friday at Penn Relays.

MEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Gabe Sczesniak won the 400m hurdles in 59.76
- Joey Walko was the runner-up in the discus and hammer throw
- Ryan Williamson took second in the 5,000m
- Michael Beach was third in the 3,000m steeplechase
- Blake Haddon cleared 1.83m to place third in the high jump
- Walko was also third in the shot put
- The 4x100m relay was ninth at Penn Relays in 42.61
- The 4x400m relay was fourth in Pop Haddleton MAC section at Penn Relays in 3:20.40

WOMEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Caleigh Bold won the 200m in 26.44
- Kirsten Navich was first in the 400m at 1:00.39, Sophie Shadle was second, Grace Tessier third
- Addison Kleinle had the fastest time in the 1500m at 4:45.30
- Jaelyn Pennypacker took first in the 400m hurdles at 1:11.07
- Isabell Anderson won the 3,000m steeplechase, Ellie Heilman was second, Maeve Keefe fourth
- Kyleigh Dietrich jumped 5.27m in the long jump to win the event
- Isabella Cowger won the discus, was second in shot put, and sixth in hammer
- Sky Shinnen placed third in the 800m
- The 4x100m relay team ran 49.19 on Friday at Penn Relays
- The 4x400m relay ran 3:58.86 to take third at Penn Relays on Friday 

ALL-TIME PERFORMANCES
- The women's 4x400m relay (Grace Tessier, Sky Shinnen, Caleigh Bold, Kirsten Navich) ran 3:58.86 and moved from ninth to sixth all-time
- Jaelyn Pennypacker's time of 1:11.07 in the 400m hurdles improves her ninth-place standing all-time
- Kyleigh Dietrich's mark of 5.27m (17'3-1/2") in the long jump is third all-time
- The men's 4x100m relay (Khaliq Poles, Matt Lamb, Gabe Sczesniak, Cam Michaels) time of 42.61 is seventh all-time
- Logan Rich's throw of 12.62m (41'5") in the shot put is fifth all-time
