Men's track & field wins three events at York (PA) Twilight Meet

YORK, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's track & field team won three events and finished third as a team with 84.33 points on Wednesday at the York (Pa.) Twilight Meet. Will Inglis, Derek Kendig, and Josef Book won events for the Blue Jays.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
-Will Inglis ran 1:53.14 to win the 800m
-Derek Kendig ran 14:56.86 to take first in the 5,000m
-Josef Book ran 53.45 in the 400m hurdles to win the event
-The 4x400m relay (Book, Lucas Novack, Cam Michaels, Trevor Albright) were second at 3:20.99
-Albright placed third in the open 400m at 48.79
-Book was third in the 110m hurdles at 15.13, Kyler Benedict was fifth in 15.65
-Blake Haddon jumped 1.90m in the high jump to finish fourth
-Matt Lamb and Michaels were fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 100m
-Joey Walko was sixth in the hammer, Logan Rich eighth in the javelin

ALL-TIME PERFORMANCES
-Derek Kendig's time of 14:56.86 in the 5k is now eighth all-time
-Josef Book's time of 15.13 in the 110m hurdles is second all-time
-Kyler Benedict's time of 15.65 in the 110m hurdles moves him from T10th to sixth all-time
-Josef Book's time of 53.45 in the 400m hurdles moves him from fifth to second all-time
-Lucas Novack's time of 56.89 in the 400m hurdles improves his eighth-place standing all-time
-Gabe Szcesniak's time of 57.53 in the 400m hurdles improves his 10th-place standing all-time
-The 4x100m relay's time of 42.53 is tied for fifth all-time (Khaliq Poles, Matt Lamb, Lucas Novack, Cam Michaels)

Elizabethtown will next compete at the Messiah Falcon Multi & Invitational next weekend.
