YORK, Pa. -- The tough non-conference schedule didn't get any easier for the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team as they traveled to take on ninth-ranked York (Pa.) Wednesday night at Kinsley Field. The Spartans held the Blue Jays to five goals in an 18-5 win for YCP.
Finn Kristan had a pair of goals for the Jays.
The Spartans went ahead 5-0 after the first quarter and were up 6-0 before
Brent Wehland recorded Elizabethtown's opening goal of the game in the second. It was Wehland's 12th of the season.
Reese Levinson scored with two minutes left in the half as Etown trailed 9-2 at halftime.
YCP put another five on the board before Kristan scored a man-up goal with 14 ticks to go in the third quarter. He'd add his second in the fourth.
Jay Rodriguez would also score for the Jays in the fourth.
Ben Zaitz stopped 22 shots in goal for Elizabethtown.
The men's lacrosse team opens up Landmark Conference play on Saturday, March 21, at Susquehanna for a noon start against the River Hawks.
