Men's track & field competes at Coach I Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's track & field team competed at the Coach I Invitational at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Josef Book and the 4x400 meter relay were the top performers for the Blue Jays at the meet.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
-Josef Book was the runner-up in the 60 meter hurdles at 8.61
-The 4x400 meter relay of Lucas Novack, Khaliq Poles, Trevor Albright, and Cam Michaels took second in 3:32.95
-Derek Kendig finished third in the 5k at 15:29.02, Marty Ratchford was seventh, and Carson Brooks was 10th
-Waid Gainer tied for third in the high jump at 1.78m and was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.82
-Joey Walko took ninth in the shot put and 10th in the weight throw
-Bryce Hoglund was eighth in the pole vault, Evan Seagreaves tied for ninth
-Jimmy Undercuffler finished ninth in the triple jump

ALL-TIME PERFORMANCES
-Josef Book's 8.61 in the 60 meter hurdle final moves him from fourth to third all-time
-Waid Gainer's 8.80 in the 60 meter hurdle prelim improves his sixth-place standing all-time
-Kyler Benedict's 9.30 in the 60 meter hurdle prelim is 10th all-time

Elizabethtown returns to Alvernia on Saturday, January 31, for the PLEX Shootout.
