ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College men's tennis team dropped a close match on Saturday to Susquehanna at the Alumni Courts. The River Hawks squeezed out a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Susquehanna claimed first and third doubles to collect their first point of the day.
Austin Kohler and
Jio Garcia won 6-4 in second doubles for the Jays.
Etown won two of the first three singles matches as Kohler and
Stefanos Billis earned points for the Blue Jays.
Garcia, like Kohler, was 2-0 on the day after winning his match at fourth singles. Elizabethtown just needed a point to get the win, but the River Hawks took fifth and sixth singles to turn the tide and come away with the one-point team victory.
