ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's tennis team was downed, 7-0 to visiting Catholic as the Blue Jays opened up Landmark Conference play.
At doubles no.1,
Haley Bishop and
Katie Balzano fell 6-1. The pairs of
Elizabeth Warren &
Mariia Yeni and
Hannah Walker &
Taylor Dukes were swept 6-0 at no.2 and no.3 doubles.
At no.1 singles, Bishop fell 6-2 6-2, Warren fell 6-2, 6-0 at no.2 singles, and Balzano dropped her match 6-1, 6-0 at no.3 singles. At no.4 singles,
Mariia Yeni fell 6-1, 6-0. At no.5 singles Walker was blanked 6-0 before falling 6-2.
Sara Hermany was blanked 6-0, 6-0 at no.6 singles.
The Blue Jays will host Susquehanna Saturday Sept.27.
