LANCASTER, Pa. -- Junior
Will Inglis won the first meet of the season with his first-place finish at Friday's Franklin & Marshall Invitational for the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team. The Blue Jays totaled a meet-low 26 points with all five runners in the top 10.
Will Inglis ran 9:57.9 to win the race with
Derek Kendig right behind him in 9:59.8 as the only two competitors to break 10 minutes in the race.
Michael Beach, in his first collegiate race, was sixth overall in 10:27.1.
Marty Ratchford took seventh in 10:33.2 and
Carson Brooks rounded out the five scoring members in 10th.
Etown's average time was 10:22.8, 25 seconds better than second-place Franklin & Marshall's team average.
F&M finished with 48 points, F&M Alumni had 75 points, and Lancaster Bible ended with 94 points.
