Sasso, Inglis break championship records, help men's track & field to third-place finish at Landmark meet

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- AJ Sasso and Will Inglis each broke Landmark Championship meet records for the Elizabethtown College men's track & field team over the weekend at the outdoor championship meet. The Blue Jays totaled 136 points to place third as a team. Inglis won three medals for Etown, while Sasso, Daniel Myers, and Trevor Albright each medaled twice.

Inglis won the 1500m on Saturday in 3:53.42 to break a 15-year-old championship record by nearly two seconds. He came back on Sunday to win the steeplechase and edge out a silver in the 800m. Sasso won the 800m in a new championship record time of 1:51.68. He was also on the 4x400m relay that placed third, along with Trevor Albright. Albright took third in the 400m with a new PR. Myers earned a medal on each day of the league meet. He was the runner-up, behind Inglis, in Saturday's 1500m and took third in Sunday's steeplechase.

Joey Walko won the hammer throw competition on Saturday with a new personal best and set the new metric program record in the discus.
