TOWSON, Md. -- It was another standout game for Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse goalie
Brayden Franey over the weekend against Susquehanna. Franey was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season and second consecutive week.
Franey stonewalled the River Hawks on Saturday at Wolf Field. He made a season-high 18 saves over 60 minutes of game action in a 13-7 win.
The seven goals allowed were the fewest Susquehanna has scored all season and their first time behind held to single digits. The River Hawks average nearly 15 goals per game.
Franey lowered his league leading GAA to 8.61, 26th in Div. III, and increased his conference best save percentage to .588.
The Blue Jays await the winner of Susquehanna at Drew in Tuesday's opening round game. Etown hosts the semifinal on Thursday, May 1, at 4 p.m.
