Oaster sets record, Carmo ties record for track & field teams at AARTFC Indoor Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Kelty Oaster broke her own record and Adam Carmo tied his own record for the Elizabethtown College track & field teams at the AARTFC Indoor Championships held at Ithaca over the past two days. The men's team did not score any points while the women's team tied for 30th with six points.

Kelty Oaster set the women's indoor 400m record in late January at F&M with her 59.05. On Saturday at Ithaca, Oaster smashed her own record with a 56.89, which at the time was a meet record. Two others in the final heat of the event posted slightly faster times, pushing Oaster to a third-place finish.

In Friday's 60-meter hurdle prelims, Adam Carmo ran 8.50 to tie his school record.

Daniel Myers placed 10th in the mile at 4:21.74. The women's 4x200m relay of Lilianna Zimmerman, Caleigh Bold, Melissa Patton, and Sophie Shadle also placed 10th.

The men's 4x200m relay of Matt Lamb, Gabe Sczesniak, Lucas Novack, and Trevor Albright ran 1:32.07, the second-fastest time in program history.
