SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- First-year thrower
Isabella Cowger broke an Elizabethtown College women's track & field outdoor record and Landmark Conference record on Saturday at the Jim Taylor Invitational and won the discus for the Blue Jays.
Cowger, entered at 40.00m in the discus, threw 43.57m (142'11") on Saturday to win the event and break the school's record along with the Landmark record that had stood at 43.20m since 2010. SHe was also sixth in the shot put at 10.97m, eighth all-time.
Mylea Neidig placed third in the shot put at 11.46m. The Blue Jays also had a pair of third-place finishers on the track.
Addison Kleinle ran 4:55.72 in the 1500m and
Kirsten Navich ran 1:08.82 in the 400m hurdles, now sixth all-time.
