Hudges takes high jump for men's track & field at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Senior Malik Hudges won the high jump for the Elizabethtown College men's track & field team on Saturday at the two-day Jim Taylor Invitational held at Susquehanna University.

Hudges wasn't the only Etown high jumper to do well. Blake Haddon, also teammates with Hudges on the men's basketball team, each cleared 1.94m to go 1-2 in the event. Haddon is now fourth all-time with that height.

AJ Sasso was the runner-up in the 800m at 1:5.67, an AARTFC qualifying time.

Matt Lamb and Trevor Albright both ran personal bests. Lamb moved from eighth to second all-time in the 100m with his time of 10.67m. Albright shifted up two spots on the all-time list, fifth to third, with his 49.38 in the 400m. Both runners were third in those events.

Other notable performances:
Cam Michaels, 10.80 (100m) - now third all-time and sixth in the meet
Lucas Novack, 57.98 (400m Hurdles) - now eighth all-time and fifth in the meet
Adam Carmo, 15.74 (110m Hurdles) - now sixth all-time and seventh in the meet
4x100m, 42.42 - now third all-time and fourth in the meet
Joey Walko placed in the hammer (7th), shot put (10th), and discus (10th). His throw of 48.47m in the hammer moves him from third to second all-time
Aspen Stahl-Emig threw 43.59m in the hammer to go from eighth to fourth all-time
4x400m 'A' relay, 3:22.80 to place fourth

Elizabethtown will take part in the Millersville Metrics meet next weekend.
