Cross country teams, Fitzgerald, Myers receive academic honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS -- The Elizabethtown College men's and women's cross country teams have continued their excellence not only on the course, but in the classroom. Both teams as well as two athletes between the men's and women's sides earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. The organization announced its individual and team selections late last week.

The Blue Jay men appear on the list for the 15th straight time while the women's team has earned this distinction now 17 years running, all with head coach Brian Falk leading the way.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic athletes include Keely Fitzgerald, and for the second straight year, Daniel Myers.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. In order to qualify for All-Academic Athletes, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
